The building volumes are located on the streetline, just as most of the buildings are in Kalamaja district. The plot accommodates one private house and a small apartment building. Their formal appearance alludes to the history of the neighbourhood but is still a clearly contemporary solution. The private house’s south-western corner has been reduced to create an alley between the two volumes. This decision also allowed the buildings to be erected without a separating firewall. The houses each have three overground floors for living and a single underground floor for technical rooms and parking. The roof of the underground parking lots is used as a terrace for the Ground floor apartments and the private house. The terrace is divided into two parts to offer greater privacy. Some of it is also covered with low greenery. The facades of both volumes are covered with diagonal siding.
