Tallinn Architecture Biennale
Tallinn Architecture Biennale (TAB) is an international architecture and urban-planning festival with a diverse programme that fosters local architectural culture. TAB encourages synergy between Estonian and foreign architects as well as between architects and the general public by way of creating contacts and exchanging ideas.
Tallinn Architecture Biennale is organised by the Estonian Centre of Architecture and creatively led by TAB Advisory Board, which consists of representatives from the Union of Estonian Architects, Estonian Academy of Arts, Tallinn City, Ministry of Culture as well as former TAB curatorial teams. The Board selects the curator or curatorial team for TAB in every two years.
TAB 2024 will be held in September – November 2024!
June 2023 brought the news that TAB 2024 will be on the topic “Resources for a Future”, curated by Daniel A. Walser, Zürich; Anhelina L. Starkova, Kharkiv; João Charters Monteiro, Lisbon; and Jaan Kuusemets, Tallinn.
“How to think, design and build architecture with our resources will be the theme of this Biennale concept in Tallinn. We want to focus on different levels from architecture, typologies, building materials to the level of urban planning. The exhibition will have a world-wide perspective with a local base and call for action,” states the curatorial team.
Stay tuned as we dive into a groundbreaking project that promises to shape a better tomorrow!
